Lisa Talbot is a Los Angeles based artist whose fine art practice is an experimental journey into her subconcious mind. She works in still photography, video, and projected video mixes. Lisa builds small scale environments and photographs and makes videos of them as they change and evolve over long periods of time, often several years. Her work is a reflection of not only her inner life but how her outer life living and growing up in Los Angeles has deeply effected her. Her work provokes a sense of stepping beyond the limits of physicality into the realms of the psyche. Lisa also teaches photography and digital imaging at various Colleges in the Southern California area, such as Cal State University, Northirdge, and Fullerton College. Her work has been shown at galleries such as the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, the Laguna Art Museum, and the Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Fe.
